Bug’s Mum
Goodbye Crab Walking

We are so pleased with Bug’s new WAGD Burgundy harness. Being a terrier X dachshund X chihuahua x gremlin, it is exceptionally hard to find a harness that fits her comfortably and also keeps her safe. Bug hates feeling things on her back and can be very gear shy so we have tried a lot of harnesses in her short life. Having the option of not placing things over her head or manhandling her paws along with the extra padding is a game changer for her and for me. When Bug isn’t comfortable she walks sideways (crab walking we call it) but I can say with her WAGD harness we have not had any crab imitations. It’s a beautiful colour, very well made, functional, ethical and safe for her joints. Given Bug has developed arthritis at a very young age (she’s not even 3 years old) her comfort and pain levels directly affect her quality of life. Pain and discomfort is immediately visible in Bug’s behaviour and knowing her harness doesn’t contribute to that is a big relief for us both. Walks are much more enjoyable because she doesn’t dislike wearing her harness (and this is a dog who stays firmly on lead given her propensity to try to join new families she likes the look of and inability to accept another dog may not like her). Bug’s harness is a necessity not just a “sometimes” bit of kit, it’s vital that she wears something that allows her joints a full range of motion. Thank you Carly & Peanut for the countless hours of hard work to better the lives of dogs and their pet humans! We have recommended this harness to so many people and we will always support a brand that puts welfare first.

Oh Bug 🖤 This review made my day. A terrier x dachshund x chihuahua x gremlin is quite the harness-fitting assignment 😂

Knowing she’s gone from crab walking and being gear shy to comfortably heading out in her WAGD means SO much, especially when comfort and freedom of movement are so important for her.

And clearly the harness is doing important work keeping her from simply selecting a nicer-looking family mid-walk 😂

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this, for recommending WAGD to others, and for supporting what Peanut and I are trying to do. Give Bug a big scratch from P and I, she is an absolute icon. 🖤

Sooo good

Absolutely love this harness! It fits my dog really well and is comfortable for her to wear. It’s easy to put on and take off, and it stays securely in place without restricting her movement. The quality feels really good, I love how sturdy it is and it’s well priced considering. She seems much more comfortable wearing this compared to other harnesses we’ve tried. Definitely recommend it! (Won’t buy another harness from anywhere else after discovering this one)

Dog is a 16.5kg border collie x kelpie puppy (6 months) wearing a size M.
Easily adjusted to about as small as it could go to fit her well and has plenty of room for her to grow into.

Ohhh I love the last line 😂 “Won’t buy another harness from anywhere else” is a pretty good review!
I’m so happy she’s more comfortable in her WAGD harness, especially while she’s still a growing pup. Sounds like you’ve got a lovely fit now with plenty of adjustment left for those inevitable Border Collie x Kelpie growth spurts!
Thank you for including her weight, age and size too. That’s genuinely so helpful for other people trying to work out sizing for their own pups.
Thanks so much for the fab review and recommendation 💛
Big Love,

Lightweight, durable and cute!

I reached out to the human behind WAGD (I’m terrible with names, sorry!) after trying so many harnesses that either didn’t fit properly, slid around too much, or rubbed my terrier’s coat off. They were absolutely amazing and even provided photos of a similarly sized dog wearing the harness, including how it sits and holds up while the dog is moving.
We’ve now used it multiple times over the past week at the beach, in mud and for general terrier chaos, and I’m genuinely so impressed with it.
Our previous harness wasn’t padded, and if he suddenly jerked or ran into the end of his long line, it could be painful. He would sometimes yelp, which was incredibly distressing for both of us. The padding on this harness has completely changed that. He’s no longer hurting himself when he hits the end of the line, which is amazing, particularly for a dog already dealing with chronic pain, back pain and knee pain.
It has also held up brilliantly. There’s been no coat damage, even after beach trips, and it doesn’t slide around with the weight of a long line. It’s incredibly lightweight and adjustable, which is perfect for my weirdly proportioned little terrier.
Honestly, I even prefer it to our harness from a very popular Norwegian brand as it’s not adjustable and doesn’t fit right.
We’ll definitely be getting another one for our other dog too! ❤️

Oh this is such a lovely review, thank you! And the human behind WAGD is me, Carly 💛

I remember helping you with the fit, so I’m really happy to hear how well it’s working for your little terrier, especially with all the beach, mud and general terrier chaos you’ve thrown at it already!

Most of all, I’m so glad he’s comfortable.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a detailed review, and I’ll be very happy to kit out dog number two when the time comes!

Big Love,

Keith’s best life
My go to harness

Keith is a very wiggly boy who absolutely loves his walks, and I’ve honestly lost count of how many harnesses we’ve tried trying to get the fit right.

We’ve had ones that sat too close to his armpits, ones that were too loose around the neck, too tight around the chest, or the complete opposite. Even some really good, highly adjustable brands just never seemed to sit quite right on him.

We actually bought the smallest size originally and it was still too big. Carly refunded me straight away with no fuss at all and let me know they were working on smaller sizes. As soon as they came out, I bought one.

I’m really happy with it. It’s lightweight, feels really well made and has plenty of adjustment without sitting right up in his armpits, which was a big thing for me.

I also really like having both the front and back clip options. I use the front clip when Keith is distracted or we’re working on his loose lead walking, then once we get somewhere he can sniff and wander around, I switch him to the back clip with his long line. Because the back clip sits further down his back instead of close to his neck, the line seems to get tangled around his little legs a lot less.

We’ve used it on bush walks, by the river and in the car, and it dries reasonably quickly and doesn’t seem to hold onto dirt too badly.

The only little thing I noticed was that because Keith is such a light colour, some of the black rubbed onto his fur for the first couple of wears. It wasn’t a big issue and it didn’t keep happening.

I also found it a little confusing to put on the first few times because of the shape and clips, but once you work out how it sits, it becomes much easier.

This has been one of the best fitting harnesses we’ve found for Keith. After trying so many, it’s really nice to finally have one that feels secure, gives us different options depending on what we’re doing and still lets him move around comfortably.

Oh little Keith, It sounds like you’ve been through the harness Olympics trying to find one that fits him!

I’m so glad you came back when the smaller sizes launched and that we’ve finally found something that works for his little wiggly body. I also love hearing how you’re using the front and back clips depending on what you’re doing with him. That sounds like Keith gets some cracking adventures!

Thank you as well for mentioning the little things you noticed with the colour transfer and getting used to putting it on. That feedback is genuinely helpful to me.

After everything you’ve tried, hearing that this is one of the best fitting harnesses you’ve found for Keith makes me incredibly happy. Give that wiggly boy a cuddle from me and Peanut 💛

Practical and thoughtfully designed

Really appreciate all the thoughtful details that have gone into the design of this harness, from the elastic to stop the ends of the straps from hanging out, to the extra clip around the neck for easy removal. So glad the size range was expanded so I could purchase one for my XXS pup!

Thank you Beth! Cheers for the lovely words. Glad our harness made your pup’s life a bit easier, and that the size range suits your wee buddy! The smallest pups deserve top-notch kit too. Thanks a million for the support!

My boys just love them so much
The xxs fires my tiny dog so well and m fits my kelpie amazing

Ahh, I love that you’ve got both ends of the WAGD size chart covered .

A teeny XXS and a Kelpie rocking the M, and most importantly, both boys are comfy and loving their harnesses.

Thanks so much for choosing WAGD for your little AND not-so-little buddies!

Finally a harness she doesn't run from!

We've had one of the WAGD long leads for sniffaris for ages, and always loved it. Great material and provides a good combination of freedom and safety for my dog.

We recently decided to buy a WAGD harness too, and oh my goodness I wish we'd done it sooner! My spoodle doesn't like having things go over her head, so she has led me a merry dance for years, always hiding under the table when she sees me pick up the harness.

After a week with our new WAGD one which clips in three places and doesn't require any over-head action, it's a totally different story. Because it's so easy to clip on and off she's much happier, and it means we now only put her harness on for walks instead of leaving it on her all day. We went for peacock blue, but I reckon we'll be back soon for another colour too.

Oh I love this!
It makes me so happy to hear that after just a week she’s already feeling so much better about having her harness put on. Just clip it on when it’s walk time and off she goes! That must make a huge difference.

I reckon Peacock might just be the start of her little harness collection 😂

Thanks so much for sharing this. Give her big cuddle from me and a snack from Peanut.

Willow received her second WAGD harness today, a girl needs a smashing change of clothes right?, it's a spectacular colour and as pretty as her first one (Axel Rose).

XS game changer

I’ve bought countless harnesses for little Billy (7.5kg Maltese shui tzu) that didn’t fit well and looked uncomfortable. He did not like stepping into them, or putting his head in them either, despite countless hours following all the training guides on how to do this.
Enter WAGD - game changer. Straight away, Billy was much happier having the harness go around his neck and in no time we had mastered clipping up the remaining two buckles.
The harness is fully adjustable and we were able to get a perfect fit very easily.
Paired with the 5m sniffari lead, walks are so much more fun now.
Trying to force a harness on Billy before we could go for a walk was no fun for anyone. Now, it’s so easy to get his harness on and get out for our adventures. Thank you Carly and Peanut, you have literally changed our lives xx

Oh Billy 🥹 This one really got me.

“Literally changed our lives” is a hell of a thing to read in a harness review. Thank you so much for sharing Billy’s story with us xx

You won't find a business owner who cares more about the safety and well being of your pups

You won't find a business owner who cares more about the safety and well being more than Carly. I knew as soon as I came across her profile that Cooper (and now Teddy) would be in good hands with her harnesses. Built for comfort, full range of motion and durability + safety - it's the harness that ticks every box (and they look amazing).

I'm a very anxious dog mum, safety and comfort is extremely important to me - and I have full confidence in my WAGD harnesses for my boys.

This is such a lovely review, thank you. 💛

It means so much to hear that you trust my harnesses with your boys, especially knowing how important their comfort and safety are to you.mKnowing you can head out on your adventures feeling confident is exactly what I hoped these harnesses would give people.

Give your boys a big cuddle from me & Peanut, and thank you so much for your support.

Amazing!

This is such a quality harness! It looks adorable, it allows full range of movement and is easy to get on/off. Having the neck and body clip so that we don’t have to wrangle a wriggly puppy’s legs or neck into a harness has been a godsend. And Carly was so responsive and friendly with sizing questions. Very happy customer. 😊 We got an XS for our border terrier which should fit her for life.

Ahh, this photo made me smile!

I'm so glad you're both loving it. Hearing the neck clip has been a game changer is brilliant.

Thank you for trusting me with the sizing to.I always love helping make sure you've got the best fit. I hope your little Border Terrier has many adventures ahead in her XS!

The best harness out there!

The best harness out there! Fits our girl perfectly! We’ve tried many other brand but non fit as well or comfortably as the wagd one! She weighs 30kg and is wearing a medium size

Thank you so much for your lovely review!

I'm so happy to hear your girl has finally found her perfect fit. It means so much that you've taken the time to share your experience, and thank you for including her size too, that'll be really helpful for other dog owners trying to choose the right fit.

Give your gorgeous girl a cuddle from me!

Wow!

My impression when I received my first delivery of two Dog Harnesses and a Ball tug tow from Wagd for our two Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Kaiser (6) and Biko (16 months), was a very loud "wow". Biko’s trainer and behavioral coach had enthusiastically recommended Wagd harnesses for their superior fit and comfort. I was so impressed with my order that I purchased two more harnesses plus two Signature Dog Leads and a Squeakster Tug Toy.

The quality and design of the harnesses, leads and toys is exceptional and they look fabulous! They are beautifully crafted and durable with rich, vibrant colours (the two-tone leads are amazing). As we’ve found, Wagd harnesses are the best fit for Kaiser and Biko. The harnesses allow freer movement and do not restrict areas of the body unlike other harnesses, which makes walking and playing a more comfortable experience. After all, we want our fur kids to live their best dog life 🐾💕

Ahh this is such a beautiful review, thank you so much!

Hearing a loud “WOW” upon opening the box is exactly the kind of energy I aspire to create 😂

I’m so glad the harnesses are working beautifully for your Ridgeback Fam, those deep chested ATHLETES!

And the fact you came back for more leads and toys is the biggest compliment ever.
Thank you for trusting WAGD with Biko and Kaisers outfits, and their adventures

Buy the harness, you won't regret it.

The thought WAGD has put into this harness - from it's anatomically correct design, to how easy it is to put on, and how easy it is to clean - is unparalleled.

We've tried so many others and they were always too bulky, too restrictive, or an absolute nightmare to squeeze over our dog's head (Staffy things).

Never ever ever using any other harness. WAGD is the absolutely gold tier.

Oh, and not to mention the owner is a genuinely good person doing good things for good dogs. Every box ticked.

Okay but “Staffy things” took me out 😂

This is EXACTLY why I made this harness. Too many of them are bulky, restrictive, or require you to somehow fold your dog into a fitted sheet just to get it over their head.

And the lovely words about me?? Stop it. Me and Peanut are blushing.
Really appreciate the support so much

Such good quality kit!!

I have the collar and lead set which is so pretty to look at! My dog hates the loud click of other collars so the quiet clasp is a god send!

The toys are really durable and my dogs LOVE them.

The long leads are really light compared to others I’ve used, and so much easier to handle!

Can’t recommend enough! My favourite place to get dog merch 😊

THIS. This right here is why we scream into the void and make dog gear instead of going to therapy.
Pretty, comfy, QUIET, durable — the holy grail of dog accessories. Honestly, your dog should be in magazines.

I absolutely LOVE my WAGD 5m training leads. As a professional force free dog walker, I needed to invest in some good quality longlines and I was very impressed by these! They are strong and well-made, easy to clean and they don't hurt your hands or get slippery when wet unlike other longlines I've tried out. 10/10 reccommed!

Now that’s a review that makes us happy!
Coming from a pro? That’s high praise — and we’re stoked they’re living up to the job.
No hand burn, no slippery snake vibes, no nonsense — just good, grippy, cleanable leads that can handle real-life dog walking chaos 💪
Thanks for repping the kind training crew and trusting us with your toolkit. 10/10 legend

As a pet parent of an extra-large german shepherd, it's difficult to find well-made and stylish dog gear that is big enough to fit my big boy! And of course WAGD is designed and run by a positive reinforcement dog trainer which I LOVE to support!

Big dog parents, RISE UP 🙌
We know the struggle — too much gear out there either fits like a sausage casing or looks like it was designed in 2003.
So glad your big boy’s finally got something that looks sharp 🔥
And yep — everything we do is built with positive reinforcement and actual dog behaviour in mind (no dodgy training vibes here).
