Care Instructions

Dirty pup, huh? Good times were obviously had, no judgement here!

This harness can take a beating. Toss it in a cloth bag or pillowcase to protect those metal clips, tie it tight, and hit her with a cold cycle. Hang out to dry, and she'll be right!

As with all Dog kit, if your getting dirty, make sure you rinse thoroughly, straight after adventuring.

THE GOOD DOG LOWDOWN

“I love the fit, every other harness we tried rubbed his armpits!”

How to Choose a Good Harness for Your Dog

(According to a dog trainer – not a random internet list)

Let’s be honest — most harnesses out there are either overcomplicated, poorly designed, or just plain uncomfortable for your dog.

Here’s what I look for as a trainer (and a dog mum myself) when choosing a harness that actually works in the real world.

1. Look for a Y-front design

A Y-front means the chest panel creates a Y-shape instead of one horizontal strap straight across their shoulders.

Why it matters?

It gives your dog full range of movement and doesn’t restrict their front legs — which is better for comfort, confidence, and long-term health.

2. Avoid harnesses with a horizontal chest strap

If the harness has a single strap running across your dog’s chest (especially the ones with the big velcro patches)?

Hard pass.

That design can interfere with their gait, limit movement, and cause rubbing or pressure points.

They’re restrictive and uncomfortable — and no, they don’t magically “fix pulling.”

3. Choose something fully adjustable

No two dogs are built the same. Whether your dog’s deep-chested, leggy, fluffy or weirdly shaped (we love them all), you need a harness that can be adjusted to fit their body properly.

A good fit = less rubbing, better control, and way more comfort.

4. Pick one that’s easy to put on

If you have to wrestle your dog into it or shove it over their head or lift their legs while they squirm?

You're both going to hate it.

The WAGD harness has a neck clip, so you don’t need to go over the head or manhandle their legs — perfect for sensitive dogs or kit-shy pups.

5. Prioritise comfort + safety

✔️ Soft, flexible webbing

✔️ High-quality curved buckles that sit flush to the body

✔️ Lightweight, breathable design

✔️ Designed to reduce pressure, not create more

Bonus points if it’s made by someone who actually works with dogs every day. (Hi!)
